Our Pastors
Rev. Dr. Joseph Lear
Rev. Dr. Joseph Lear ministered in Missouri, Connecticut, and Scotland before coming to Iowa City. He holds a PhD in New Testament from the University of Aberdeen, and an MAR in Christian Ethics from Yale Divinity School. He grew up in French-speaking West Africa. Pastor Joseph is married to Holly, and has three sons:
Lazarus, Barnabas, and Moses.
Rev. Abby Anderson
Rev. Abby Anderson is an Iowa City local.
She has served the town over the years through schools and community action programs. She graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, MO before returning to serve the southeast side of Iowa City through the local church. Pastor Abby is married to Kyle and is mother to four children:
Hillary, Janet, Rian, and Zion.
